BREATHING AS A SKILL: TEACHING BREATH MECHANICS TO ATHLETES IN INDIA
A lot of languages. Both athletes and coaches have the knowledge and skills to apply to their disciplines without adding another complicated task to the list of tasks. The use of jargon that is confusing and overly technical triggers an unfavorable reaction from both athletes and coaches. It's a challenge to master and integrate. The proprioceptive part of skilled breathing is nebulous in the manner it's taught and is slow and narrow for use in fast-paced environments. Performers require tools and heuristics that permit quick focus and feel and provide a tangible difference in performance results when used.
