INVASIVE OR NON-INVASIVE VENTILATION: WHICH IS BETTER? - IN INDIA
For a patient with a respiratory problem, invasive and non-invasive ventilation are two options. While in invasive ventilation, a tube is inserted in the endotracheal pipe that enables you to breathe, the non-invasive ventilators feature a mask through which oxygen is delivered to your mouth and nose. The latter is cheaper and painless. Also, non-invasive ventilators do not pierce any of your body parts and are readily available outside of the ICU units. Since they are easy to operate, patients can use these devices independently to administer oxygen. All these reasons make non-invasive ventilators a preferable choice over their counterpart.
