Grant Medical College Mumbai was Estabilished in 1845.This is affiliated to the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik. Grant Medical College is attached with Sir Jamsetjee Jeejebhoy Group of Hospitals. The Group of Hospitals includes the J. J. Hospital, St George Hospital, Goculdas Tejpal Hospital, and Cama and Albess Hospital. The college is named after Sir Robert Grant who was the Governor of Bombay and played a pivotal role in the establishment of the college.this Institute is the oldest institution teaching western medicine in Asia.The college accepts 200 students annually for the undergraduate degree and around 100 annually for the various postgraduate degrees in medicine.Grant Medical College is among the 8 medical colleges of India which have been recognised by medical council of Singapore.
