Top 2 lakh candidates (including all categories) in the merit list of JEE (Main) Paper-1 will be eligible to write JEE (Advanced). 2. The Offline Exam of JEE (Advanced) 2016 will be on Last week of May. 3. The JEE (Advanced)-2016 will have two objective type papers i.e., Paper-1 & 2 of three hours. 4. Each of the question papers will consist of three separate parts in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. 5. The question paper will be in either English or Hindi. About JEE (Advanced)2016 The JEE (Advanced)- will be conducted by Seven Zonal IITs (under the directives of the Joint Admission Board) for admission to the undergraduate programmes in all IITs. All the candidates aspiring to take admission in the undergraduate programmes at IITs and ISM Dhanbad for the year 2016 will have to appear in the JEE (Main) - 2016 Paper-1. Performance in JEE (Main) 2016: The candidate should be among the top 2,00,000 including all categories in JEE (Main) 2016. The percentage of the total number of candidates for various categories will be declared shortly. 2. Age Limit: The candidate should have been born on or after 1st October, 1991 if belonging to the GEN or OBC-NCL category and on or after 1st October, 1986 if belonging to the SC, ST or PwD category. [Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board/University certificate will only be considered.] 3. Number of Attempts: A candidate can attempt JEE (Advanced) a maximum of two times and that too, in consecutive years. 4. Appearance in Class XII (or equivalent) examination: Candidates who appeared for the Class XII (or equivalent) examination in 2015 and wish to reappear in the same in 2016 will have to re-appear in all the subjects in 2016.
