BAMS or Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery  is an integrated Indian medical undergraduate degree program that offers students a wonderful and useful mixture of both modern medicine and traditional knowledge of Ayurveda. Ayurveda is one of the ancient medical systems of the world. It traces its roots to the Vedic period. It is not only providing the cure but also prevent the recurrence of diseases.  BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery)  is an undergraduate degree program in old and ancient Ayurvedic medical system containing the prevention and cure to the body by increasing the harmony of Kapha, pitta, and Vata.

This program is an undergraduate degree course in Unani Medicine and Surgery. Unani education in India is monitored by Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM) which is a statutory Central government body. QUALIFICATIONS FOR ADMISSION A candidate seeking admission to main Kamil-e-Tib-o-Jarahat (Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery) Course must have passed Senior Secondary (12th Standard) / Inter mediate examination with Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) or its equivalent examination. OR Has passed the Pretib examination of one year duration. MINIMUM AGE FOR ADMISSION 17 years on 1st October in the year of admission for admission to main Kamil-e-Tib-o-Jarahat (Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery) Course. 16 years on 1st October in the year of admission for admission to Pre-tib Course of one-year duration. DURATION OF COURSE AND EXAMINATION: Pre-tib Course will be a full time course of one year duration leading to main 4’/2 years Unani degree Course and one year compulsory rotatory internship. Main Course shall be a whole time course of 4’/2 years duration spitted in three Professional Examinations. In addition a candidate who has passed the IIIrd Professional Examination shall be eligible for award of Kamil-e-o-Jarahat (Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery) degree after satisfactory completing 12 months rotatory internship in recognized institution hospital.
