Newspaper dolls are made using Newspaper tubes. First the Newspaper is cut in to long sheets. Then these sheets are cut in to thin sheets and using a wooden stick they are rolled in to thin tubes. These tubes are given a round shape to form the base of the doll. Then a long tube is inserting form the centre of the doll. The face of the doll is made using Newspaper tubes. The hands are made using Newspaper tubes. A thin floral wire is inserted in side the hands and inside the body stick is inserted to give a sturdy look. The upper body is covered with Newspaper tubes and the skirt is made using Newspaper tubes. Varnish is given by mixing water and Fevicol. For face hands,neck and middle body black colour is given. The dress and long skirt Red colour is given. Here the dolls are shown playing musical instruments. Finally Pebeo varnish is given to make the doll with sturdy look. Can be kept as a Show piece. News paper dolls are beautifully designed and entirely Handcrafted by using Newspaper tubes,floral wire and fevicol. These newspapers are finely cut in to thin sheets. These sheets are neatly rolled using a long wooden stick in to thin tubes. First a long tube is taken. Then a wooden stick is inserted in to the tube and a base is formed using five newspaper tubes. Then hand is fixed. A long thin craft wire is inserted in both the sides of the hands. For the head Newspaper tubes are rolled to form head. For the turban Newspaper tubes are used. For the dolls dress 3 Newspaper tubes are used on each side up to the hip of the doll. The long skirt is made using Newspaper tubes. Finally a coat of Fevicol and water in equal parts is mixed to give a base coat of varnish. Then for the face,hands ,hip black colour is given. For the dress and skirt bright colours are used as per choice. Once died Varnish is given to make the doll sturdy. Then accessories are added to make the doll look more beautiful. Then dolls are made either carrying basket, logs of wood yea holding umbrella, yea handbag. For 3 dolls it is 130. Here one doll is shown playing Guitar. Can be kept as a show piece. Woman giving bath to her baby is made using Quilling strips. Here 10 mm of 4 red colour strips are used for making legs of the lady. Then for pleats of the saree 10mm Turquoise blue colour is used and cut in to small strips attached on both sides. Then for base 5mm red colour quilling strips are used and 5mm Turquoise blue colour strip are used. Then 3 strips of red colour is attached on the lower part of the body. For the Saree pallu 7mm strip of red , colour and half strip of 10mm golden colour and Turquoise blue colour of 7mm is attached to make saree pallu for the lady. For hands 5mm 2 strips of Turquoise blue colour is used. For the hands 5mm of skin colour is used. 2 strips.For the neck 1 strip of 5mm skin colour is used. For face 5mm of skin colour 6and half strips are used. For hair 6 strips of black colour quilling paper is used. For eyes black bindi is used. For nose half strip of 5mm is used. For ears half strip of 5mm skin colour is used. For lips tiny red colour quilling paper is used For kumkum red colour is used. For the baby 5mm of skin colour 4 strips for body and 2 strip of 5mm of skin colour is used. For hands 1 strip of skin colour 5mm is used for hands and legs. For lady's legs 1 and half strip of 5mm skin colour is used. Accessories are used to make the doll more beautiful. The mother holds a soap which is made using yellow colour 5mm quilling strips. Side one bucket is made using 5mm brown colour. Small mug is made using Red colour quilling strips. The bucket and mug is fixed on a black colour quilling base. This is made on request.
