This is the point of befriending them, since once befriended players can utilize any  Pokémon  in mini-game play. Players can also upgrade certain skills by cashing in berries hidden throughout the game that serve as currency. Finally, players can utilize in-game photo functionality to capture moments from the game which can then be saved via Wii SD memory card functionality.
