Skills: Interdepartmental coordination: Effective coordination with other sections and supervisors regarding tool room matters. Record maintenance: Maintenance or supervision of tool room records as required. Inventory management: Evaluation of usage history and recommendation of inventory levels for tools, equipment, and repair parts. Tool and equipment maintenance: Inspection, troubleshooting, overhauling, and repair of assigned tools and equipment. Budget management: Input and responsibility for tool room budgets, including annual budget and forecast preparation and capital expenditure proposals. Supplier management: Research, identification, and qualification of potential new suppliers for cost-effective sourcing.
