b'"'Tonie's RV was established in 1997 by Whetonia b'"'b'"'Tonieb'"'b'"' Canipe as an RV rental company. She prided herself on supplying her customers with an RV they could enjoy on their vacations. She did all of the maintenance herself and named her rental RVs after her family members. The parts and service business continued to grow, and she made customer service her main priority. She would say, b'"'b'"'We want the local people. We want to know them because we want them back here again and again.b'"'b'"'In July of 2008 the company moved to its current location. 2008 and 2009 were sad times for Tonie's RV and the US economy. The economy slowed and gas prices rose, thus hurting the RV business. In January 2009 Tonie passed away, and the company was handed down to the current owner Rick Canipe, Tonie's son.
